Nokia Lumia 800 in a MACH 5 Wind Tunnel Test

Lumia 800, Nokia’s first Windows Phone device is a tough little guy. We already saw it
enduring scratch and drop tests, but it can do much more than that, it seems.

Nokia has tested it to the full, and even put it inside a MACH 5 wind tunnel to see if it could withstand the test. And it did.

As you can see in the video embedded above, the Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone continues to work
even after being subjected to the extreme pressures in MACH 5 wind tunnel.

MACH 5 is classed as 'hypersonic,' though Nokia Lumia 800 might not be able to deliver such fast
speeds when it comes to browsing the Internet or downloading files.

Of course, it still has a lot to offer, and can certainly outperform many of its rivals, as other Windows
Phone devices already managed to

The Nokia 710 1.4 Ghz 14. 4Mbps

The Nokia Lumia 710 works by using a 1. 4 GHz Scorpion cpu, but unlike several alternative options in the Nokia range, actually utilises the Ms Windows phone 7. 5 mango computer. The handset itself is a sleek and stylish unit which measures 119 mm back button 60 mm wide whilst being 12 l thick and weighing 125 g with weight.

Nokia 710

The Nokia Lumia 710 would be the more midrange of the two, but I have to say, it was attraction at primary sight. The phone itself is pretty typical in space and layout--Nokia left all the design risks towards Nokia Lumia 800, with its polycarbon unibody pattern, lack of a battery cover, in addition to single visible screw.

Yet the Lumia 710 satisfies together well, feels good in this hand, and has some fun, funky colors and quirks that set it in addition to the legion of sleek 'n' glossy, black and gray phones that often dominate. If you spend a great deal of time trying out the highest conclude smartphones, the Nokia 710's screen might seem a little pokey. But on 3. 7-inches, it's more than adequate for many of us users and not bad quality, although at certain times images did seem a little jaggedy.

Nokia 710

Now to the specs! The Nokia 710 has some sort of 3. 7-inch LCD screenwith some sort of WVGA 800x480-pixel resolution. It employs Nokia's ClearBlack present technology, which helps filter out the light to raise contrast, and also improve readability in sunlight. While not nearly as stunning for the reason that Lumia 800's AMOLED display of identical size, it still looks nice in addition to bright and colorful.

Nokia 710

Playing to Nokia's very long tradition of interchangeable phone fascias, this Nokia Lumia 710 offers five compatible multi-coloured back panels; we like the turquoisey blue while using the white body but hey, you may make your own design decisions here.

Within the back is the 5-megapixel camera the len's with LED flash. You'll be happy to know so it supports 720p HD video capture at 30 fps. Nokia is known for its sturdy camera phones, so I wasted not much time working those angles. Most of the photos I had taken were indoors and saturated with an abundance of natural light supplied by large microsoft windows, and the photo quality looked excellent overall, though I'll need some longer and lighting situations to really establish quality.

Nokia 710

In terms of memory capacity the handset comes with a 8 GB internal memory capacity that's sufficient the most requirements, whilst also offering Micro USB and Bluetooth connectivity jointly with a class 33 versions of GPRS in addition to EDGE. For those who require Access to the internet the unit offers either a ' Fi option, providing access to available hotspots or the choice of its own 3G connection, with the means to access the net at speeds as high as 14. 4 Mbps.

The Nokia Lumia 710 White is usually an alternative colour variant, which provides choice with the consumer. Irrespective of the colour chosen the simple fact remains the handset offers advanced technology at a cost-effective price.

Nokia Lumia 800 white version hands-on

It seems apt that Nokia has chosen to announced a new colour Lumia 800 this week. Europe has been blankated by snow – so what better way than to celebrate than making official the white version. White is a popular colour for a phone, and while the previous versions has always looked so darn beautiful on the Lumia 800′s Polycarbonate unibody shell, it just isn’t quite as sexy as it is in white.
Unlike its technicolour cousins, the white Lumia 800 features a glossy finish rather than matte. This means that it attracts fingerprints, and doesn’t hide scratches nearly as well as matte. Why no matte? Well Nokia’s explanation is that a glossy finish is easier to clean than a matte one – highly critical with a product of this colour. Regardless the glossy finish really compliments the snow white colour really well. While it does attract fingerprints, it isn’t as apparent as I assumed it would be.
In any case all four of the Lumia 800 features the exact same specifications, down to the 16GB storage – meaning, unlike the N9, there is no 64GB version. Still you can’t argue that the white version does looks rather sleek, and would no doubt be a popular variation. Shame there isn’t a custom white Metro tiles to go with this.
So what’s sexier than a white Lumia 800? A Dark Knight Rises Lumia 800 of course
With four colours to choose from, there is no better time to pick up a Lumia 800 if you are already on the market for one. In the mean time, do enjoy the gallery of the white Lumia 800 alongside its colourful cousins.

Nokia Lumia 800, now in white

Nokia has made official a new colour variation of their first Windows Phone 7 device, the Lumia 800. Joining the previously announced black, cyan and magenta Lumia 800 is the white version, due out later this month.
My friend Chris Davies of Slashgear has gone hands-on with the device and describes the finish as more glossy than matte – similar to the white Nokia N9. Specs wise, the white Lumia 800 is the same as its siblings – meaning 1.4GHz Snapdragon SoC, 8MP camera and 3.7″ AMOLED CBD display.
What do you think? Would a white Lumia 800 interest you, or would you prefer to wait for the inevitable white Lumia 900?
