The Nokia 710 Design

The Lumia 710 comes in grayscale, but there are five choices regarding removable back covers: black, white, cyan, fuchsia, and also yellow. When you buy the african american phone, you'll get the black color then one other cover. The same formula also includes the white phone.

Nokia 710 Design

I saw white-colored, fuchsia, and cyan colors, which seemed especially jazzy when paired with House windows Phone's various customizable OS tile shades.

Now on to the specs! The Lumia 710 features a 3. 7-inch LCD screen with any WVGA 800x480-pixel resolution. It employs Nokia's ClearBlack exhibit technology, which helps filter out the light to boost contrast, and also improve readability in sunlight. While not nearly as stunning because the Lumia 800's AMOLED display of the identical size, it still looks nice and also bright and colorful.

One benefit with the Windows Phone OS is that the particular live tiles and icons are large as well as the design is clear-cut, so a smaller screen isn't the maximum amount of of a hindrance as maybe it's, at least in terms of course-plotting. While on the compact side, the particular 3. 7-inch screen didn't feel claustrophobic inside the hour or so I had the device in hand.

Beneath the display can be an oblong bubble of plastic that serves because the button for the three Windows Cell phone keys: the Back button, the House windows button, and the Search button. That looks pretty cool, but isn't as responsive as I want. The buttons on either end have an overabundance snapback, but I wasn't always sure My partner and i was hitting the Windows button inside the center. Nokia could have done somewhat better there. Nokia 710 Design

Nokia wants a rich selection of accessories for the Windows Phone models--in part as any high-margin extra that will make carriers keen on promoting and selling the phones. This case is made for the Lumia 710.

There are the quantity rocker and photo shutter button around the right spine, a 3. 5mm headset jack port and power button up top, plus a Micro-USB charging port.

On the back could be the 5-megapixel camera lens with LED display. You'll be happy to know which it supports 720p HD video capture at 30 fps. Nokia is known for its robust camera phones, so I wasted short amount of time working those angles. Most of the photos I got were indoors and saturated with a lot of natural light supplied by large house windows, and the photo quality looked decent overall, though I'll need some more hours and lighting situations to really decide quality.

HTC Titan II announced : 16 Megapixels , LTE

HTC just announced the Titan II , successor to what still remains the biggest WP7 handset to hit the market. The Titan II bumps the spec sheet by including integrated LTE connectivity. The screen size still is a massive 4.7″ at a disappointing WVGA resolution though this remains a WP7 limitation.

The camera has been bumped up to a whopping 16 Megapixels.  Backside illumination is included which should definitely help in the low light department.  A fast wide-angle lens (f2.6, 28mm) is included alongside a dual LED flash. Extras like red eye reduction, image stabilization, a panorama mode for landscapes, and a burst shot mode make for HTC included additions. The rear cam takes 720p video.

Nokia Lumia 800 720p HD Sample

The Nokia Lumia 800 managed to handle that reasonably well, without resorting to using the dual-LED flash as a video light. There’s quite a bit of noise and speckling, especially when we dip into the paint spinner toward the end of the clip, but it doesn’t descend into murkiness and shades of grey.

Nokia Lumia 800 Audio capture is impressive, picking up both operator and subject voices. Don’t forget to choose 720p in the video below to see it at full quality about Nokia Lumia 800 720p HD Sample.

Cyan Nokia Lumia 800 will be out

The past few days have managed to give us quite a lot of info about the Nokia Lumia 800‘s availability in the UK. After a short-lived scare that it wouldn’t become available SIM-free until next year, things are pretty clear – the phone is set to hit the streets on November 16, yet it will only be sold by a few select outlets during 2011.

Next year is when everyone and their dad will be able to sell you a Lumia 800. So that’s settled. But one of the Lumia 800′s main differentiating factors is constituted by the lively color tones in which it will be offered. Unfortunately though, if you’re after a cyan or pink Nokia Lumia 800, you shouldn’t be queuing in front of a store on November 16.

Pocket-lint has gotten word from a “very trusted source” that the cyan Lumia 800 will only be out in December (though thankfully in the first week of that month). The news is even worse for those of you lusting over the pink Lumia 800, as this particular version will only be sold starting in “early 2012″. So if you want to be among the first people in the UK to get Nokia’s first Windows Phone, you may have to give up on having a particular color choice. It’s a shame, really, but there’s nothing you (or we) can do about it. At least now you know what to expect

Nokia Lumia 800, iPhone 4s, Droid RAZR and Galaxy Nexus Comparison of Key Specs

Nokia Lumia 800, iPhone 4s, Droid RAZR and Galaxy Nexus Comparison of Key Specs. It's shaping up to be one heck of a November in the smartphone market with Samsung, Motorola and Nokia all set to release their flagship smartphones against Apple's iPhone 4s.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Droid Razr and Nokia Lumia are all entering the market this November with the intention of taking down industry leader Apple's iPhone 4s. With all four phones jockeying for market supremacy, consumers will have to face the tough decision of deciding which smartphone to spend their money on. Here's a helpful spec comparison between the four contenders for smartphone supremacy.

Design

In terms of design Apple has traditionally been the more stylish with its distinctive flair for smartphones that are sleek and unique. The iPhone 4s looks the same as the iPhone 4 but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The iPhone 4 had a radical design that was functional but beautiful in its simplicity.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is huge. It has a huge 4.6-inch display and weighs 135 grams which is still lighter than the iPhone 4s which weighs in at 140 grams. Despite the size, the Galaxy Nexus just looks like a premium smartphone. It's all plastic body and tapered design is attractive eye-candy.

Motorola's revived the Razr name and released the thinnest smartphone in the market. The Motorola Droid Razr not only weighs less, 127 g, it's also only 7.1 mm thick. As for design, the Droid Razr is one sexy phone with a unique wavy pattern on the back.

Nokia's Lumia is also patterned after a previous model, the N9. Like the N9, the Nokia Lumia 800 has a streamlined design with flat tops and rounded edges. The display is actually set slightly above the edge to make the side-to-side swiping motions much smoother to handle. The Lumia is actually a rather thick phone with a 12.1 mm body and weighs 142 grams, making it the heaviest of the four phones.

Hardware Specs

The Lumia 800 really suffers in comparison to the other three in terms of hardware. Apple's iPhone 4s, Motorola's Droid Razr and Samsung's Galaxy Nexus all run on dual core processors. The Lumia has a single core 1.4 Ghz processor. In comparison the Galaxy Nexus and Droid Razr are both at the top with 1.2 Ghz dual core chips. The iPhone 4s falls somewhere in the middle with its 1 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor. Both the Nokia Lumia and iPhone 4s runs on 512Mb of RAM while the Galaxy Nexus and Droid Razr have 1Gb of RAM.

In terms of storage capacity, the iPhone 4s offers 16, 32 and 64 Gb storage with iCloud storage. The Droid Razr offers 16Gb of onboard storage and another pre-installed 16Gb microSD card that can be upgraded to a 32Gb card. The Galaxy Nexus offers 16 or 32Gb versions with no microSD expansion. The Nokia Lumia 800 only offers 16Gb of onboard storage with no option for expansion because it doesn't have a microSD slot.

Display

The Nokia Lumia 800 has a small 3.7 inch display with AMOLED screen which is nothing to brag about considering the other screens its competitors have to offer. The iPhone 4s' 3.5 inch screen while smaller than Lumia's screen offers the superb Retina Display which has a resolution of 960x640 and amazing pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has its huge 4.65 inch display and its Super AMOLED display which is matched by the Droid Razr with its 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display. Motorola boasts that the Droid Razr is the first smartphone to be able to stream HD content from internet providers like Netflix.

Software

It is in the software part where the battle really heats up. Android and Apple's iOS 5 have been dominating this area but with Microsoft's revamped Windows Phone OS called Mango this battle could suddenly open to a three-way stalemate.

The main skirmish here is in Apple's iPhone 4s which has the iOS 5, Galaxy Nexus which will ship with Android's latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS and Nokia's Lumia 800 which will run on Windows Phone 7.5 or Mango. The Droid Razr will have to wait until next year to get an update on its Gingerbread OS.

The iOS 5 is the latest OS from Apple and it promises to revamp the Apple experience. For one thing it offers the iCloud which is allows any device with iOS 5 to sync with the iCloud and transfer data from one device to another. The user interface is easy to master if you're used to Apple OS. The iOS 5 also has its much talked about virtual assistant called Siri which is voice activated and can make calls, set appointments, send texts and has her own personality. Apple has far more app support with over 500,000 apps available in its App Store.

The Ice Cream Sandwich is the latest update from Android and it also has unique features including a facial unlock that lets you use your picture to unlock your phone. The Ice Cream Sandwich also has Google Beam that lets you transfer data from one Android phone to another. Like the iOS 5 it also has its own voice activated app without Siri's personality. Android offers a more open ecosystem with deeper customization available. There are about 250,000 Android apps available.

Windows Mango OS has its unique metro tiles UI that's very visually appealing. It also has multitasking features and deeper social media integration. It doesn't offer much in apps with only 30,000 apps but Microsoft hopes to attract more developers in the next few months. source ibtimes.com

Nokia and Microsoft to introduce Lumia 900 in the U.S with a bang

Windows phone is not very popular, but we all know that Nokia has taken up Windows Phone as it’s primary O.S and marketed the Lumia 800, their first Windows Phone without any boundaries. From deadmau5 concerts in London to free Xbox, Lumia taxis in India. We can see that Nokia is serious about these devices and are trying to make Windows Phone popular, well the Nokia Lumia 900 is on it’s way to U.S and will be the first flagship device to enter the American shores after many years of absence in the American market.
Nokia and Microsoft have decided to raise the bar in marketing their mobile phones, they spent loads of money in marketing the Lumia 800, I am not sure if their sales were great and whether the marketing has paid off or not but I am sure that many people have used Windows Phone and aware of  Windows Phone Operating System and Nokia’s devices. I myself experienced the Lumia 800 at a mall where the Lumia promoters performed a flashmob to  get attention of all the people to their stall in which they were promoting the device.
Well, we had the Verge telling it’s readers that the Lumia 900 which will be an upgrade and successor of the Lumia 800 will come in the U.S via AT&T on March 18. To add more there are also rumors that the marketing budget of this product done by Microsoft, Nokia and AT&T will be near $ 100 Million. Now that is a huge amount of money for promoting just a single device in a single country. It would be really entertaining to see this promotional campaign. Well that’s all we have about the Lumia 900, I used the Lumia 800 and the 900 is going to be bigger than it’s predecessor but I was a bit unhappy about the O.S, it kind of felt half baked to me but the device was pretty smooth to use and the external build quality was really great.

Nokia 1 – Windows 8 Tablet Concept

If you thought that the Nokia  N9/Lumia 800 designs looked slick, then you have to take a look at the Nokia 1 tablet concept by yronimus. The concept is certainly one of the best looking tablets that we’ve seen if not the best.
The concept runs on Windows 8 and according to rumours, Nokia is planning on releasing a Windows 8 tablet in 2012. It is based on the Nokia Lumia 800 design but is much slimmer and retains the monoblock design.
The specifications of the device are:
  • 187.6 x 293 x 8.5mm , 580 grams
  • Windows 8 OS ARM Edition
  • 11.6″ AMOLED Display with 1280×800 Pixels Resolution
  • 32GB or 64GB Internal Memory, 2GB RAM
  • 5 Megapixel Camera with Full 1080p HD Video Recording at 30 FPS, 2 Megapixel Front Facing Camera
  • 7500 mAH Battery
We hope that Nokia at least takes a few design cues from this concept and if the end product looks anything like this, then we’re going to have a best design winner for sure.
